Experiences:
As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), my practice is rooted in the belief that every individual has the inherent capacity for self-leadership and healing. I earned my degree from the University of Washington School of Social Work, which laid the foundation for my heavily humanistic, client-centered approach. My clinical journey encompasses hands-on roles as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a hospice social worker, and a Behavior Support Specialist working alongside DSHS. Over a decade of experience as a bedside care provider and social worker offers me deep, practical insight into complex family dynamics, caregiver stress, addiction, trauma, grief and loss, and major life transitions. To best support the diverse needs of our community, I provide counseling services in both English and Japanese.
Integrative, Tailored Approach
Therapy is never a one-size-fits-all process. Your treatment is deeply individualized to honor your unique needs, cultural background, core values, and personal pace. From our very first intake session, we work collaboratively to design a therapeutic framework that truly resonates with you. By thoughtfully integrating evidence-based practices with humanistic principles, we create a dynamic, holistic space that adapts as you grow. The strategies and tools we utilize are carefully selected to meet you exactly where you are, ensuring your care is as nuanced and multifaceted as you are.
Your Agency, Your Path
At the core of our work together is a profound respect for your autonomy and self-determination. You possess the inherent wisdom to guide your own journey, and you have complete control to choose the support that best fits your life. There is absolutely no pressure, judgment, or obligation to continue if a direction doesn't feel right. My role is to walk alongside you as an objective collaborator—providing the safe environment, reflection, and tools necessary to ensure your voice is heard. Together, we cultivate your internal self-leadership so you can confidently navigate your own path forward.
Ajisai, the Japanese word for hydrangea, reflects my core belief that with the right supportive environment, every individual has the natural ability to bloom and thrive."
