Individual Counseling & Psychotherapy

$180 for 60 min session

I specialize in grief and loss, and also work with complex trauma and PTSD from lens of culturally sensitive approach. I help you to develop your sense of who you are, identify, what you want in your life instead of depending other people’s emotions and please others. If you're carrying complicated grief and losses that other’s don't see, or something happened that your mind and body haven't been able to set down, I can help you to guide you to process together.

Who I work with:

  • Adults grieving a death, or a ambiguous loss that difficult for people to understand you, such as illness, caregiving, or a relationship that changed

  • Adults whose past experiences still show up in daily life as being on edge, shut down, or overwhelmed.

  • Adults living with PTSD after a traumatic event, such as an accident, a medical crisis, violence, or a sudden loss for more than 6 months or years since the traumatic events.

  • Adults who are persistently anxious because they have no children and significantly limited or no family support and worry about own end of life plans.

  • Adults who are internationally diverse among family members and being anxious about the future because of the distance and physical separations.

Life Transition and caregiver Coaching

$180 for 60 min

  • Experiencing a life transition? Life happens — separation, divorce, moving, a natural disaster that changed your environment, considering or already moving into an assisted living community, an accident, injury, or chronic illness. The things you need to sort out sound simple, but they're hard to focus on and can feel overwhelming.

  • Caring for a loved one (or more than one), another family member, or someone in your community can quietly but unmistakably take over your time, your days, your energy, and often your sense of self. Are you telling yourself "I'm fine" and moving on to the next task? Even a short series of sessions can teach you healthy self-care techniques and coping skills to sustain your energy for the person you deeply care about. You MATTER as much as the person you're caring for.

Coaching is a practical, forward-focused partnership to help you to identify problems and discuss for resolutions, so you finds who you are to achieve your goals. Unlike counseling, we don't spend much time on personal history or assessment, we focus on your goals and find who you are and who you want to be.

I bring many years in hospice as a bereavement coordinator and medical social worker (LICSW), plus hands-on caregiving experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I've walked alongside families through every stage of care, and I know where to find the resources — and the small, practical tips — that make daily caregiving more manageable. Goals in coaching sessions, you will explore and learn:

  • Self-care strategies and coping techniques that fit a caregiver's real schedule and no or low cost during your working hours.

  • Practical tips for daily caregiving, communication, and planning ahead including economical decision makings and community resources.

  • Education on what to expect and how to navigate care systems

  • Curated resources I will assist to search the right resources so you may save more money and time.

Coaching is educational and supportive. It is not therapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
